Fresh from their support slot on CherryFalls' UK tour, Undercut are back with their next single 'To Die For' out 20th June on Distiller Records.
Undercut are Johnny Benn (vocals), Sam James (guitar), Wayne Jones (bass), Dave Betts (guitarist) and Matt Albon (drummer). The Bristol-based 5-piece wrote and rehearsed in an aircraft hangar for months before recording their album "Something to Die For" which will be released on 27th June; it is this that they credit for the development of their epic sound which has led to comparisons with U2, The Foo Fighters, REM and the Police, though their unique sound, produced by Ian Grimble (Travis, Manic Street Preachers) is definitely their own.
To Die For' is about the betrayal and anger that you feel if a mate goes out with your ex-girlfriend" says lead singer Johnny, Radio 1 and XFM have already picked up on this track as one to watch for the summer.
The next couple of months see the band busy promoting their new single and gigging around Bristol and London in preparation for their album release. More tour dates will be announced soon. The band has also gained a lot of interest in the USA, where their first single has received nationwide airplay on an impressive number of stations.
Undercut's new single 'To Die For' is out 20th June on Distiller Records.
