Quite Great Jazz and Blues Music PR
Since 1996 Quite Great has been helping jazz artists and jazz labels from Universal Classics and Jazz to Sony along with many small labels and developing artists to think creatively about developing their brand and release pattern in the UK. Now with the addition to our Quite Great Independent Label services we have added a touring agency which in line with strategic pr development would be able to work with a jazz or blues act and help them build dates. We also have team members with many years of publishing knowledge who again could slot in where relevant and help develop the pr plot and take the strategy outside of radio , online and press and into the majors.
Over the years we have worked with catalogue owners to broaden the market for the legends of blues and jazz releases from the likes of Betty Wright, Nina Simone, La Vern Baker , Rufus Thomas as well as helping to light a spark on the career of Jamie Cullum when we helped his manager gain some early live media attention. But it is probably the long relationship we had with the wonderful Jazzee Blue label that means most to us and helps underline the passion and focus that this musical genre means to us , when we were at the forefront of helping Chris Rea adapt the media focus and really start to appreciate the way he now had not only changed his musical style to fully embrace the blues genre but also developed a series of fantastic jazz releases that were critically acclaimed, the superb ‘Dancing Down The Stony Road’ was a testament to his love of jazz and blues, his talent as a guitarist and his skill as a songwriter, going on the sell over 100,000 copies in the UK and hence potentially making it one of the best selling UK blues albums ever, who knows!
Anyway, we work with the print media , broadcast media and online media to develop acts and help them grow we structure releases to fit your needs and your budgets as well as offering a friendly , efficient service.
