Since 1996 Quite Great has been helping classical artists of all different shapes and sizes – with all different stories to tell.
From Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Really Useful Group then work with Deutsche Grammophon through to Universal Classics and Jazz. We were in at the beginning of Classical cross-over and understood that talent is key but ‘the story’ opens the hearts of the public.
From Classic FM to Gramophone Magazine, from Radio 3 to You magazine and from Cross Eyed Pianist to your local paper, the Quite Great Classic Music PR and Promotions Team have worked with prominent classical artists.
Going back to the days of the Three Tenors helping to establish legendary artists such as Russell Watson. Breakthrough artists like the fabulous Gardar Thor Cortes. The truly stunning Camilla Kerslake, Marcelo Alvarez, Salvatore Licitra and Michael Nyman.
Yet you only need to search the wonderfully poignant ‘Paul Studer Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ with also some information outlined below to discover why we emphasise the emotional importance of the story behind the classical talent.
That is one of our strengths. We help uncover the narrative that knocks on the doors of classical and mainstream media then helps knock them down.
Do please look at the case studies below and you will understand why that belief is always there when looking after our artists.

One of the many talented musical clients who we had the pleasure of working with this summer was the Anglo-Welsh composer Lisa Logan and her latest project, ‘A Silver Spoon’, a new chamber opera looking at the love story of Princess Diana and Dodi. Our job was to raise the profile of Lisa and her opera music to the British classical and mainstream press, with a focus on both English and Welsh press.
To achieve the most successful PR campaign for Lisa Logan and this opera, we firstly had many discussions with Lisa to fully understand her vision, desires, aims, and the particular press and media targets she most wanted to focus on. After the series of meetings and ensuring everyone was on the same page, we created our successful list of ‘Quite Great PR Pebbles‘.
The campaign flourished and with our established contacts and respected reputation with the media, ‘A Silver Spoon’ opera was successfully covered a range of great PR covering national and regional press as well as making sure the Classical world were aware of this emerging talent, highlighted by the feature on BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’.
Roy Sunak is a professional Bansuri player and composer based in Berlin. Roy’s key instrument is one of the most influential of Eastern styles yet to a degree misunderstood in the West, The Bansuri. His captivating and enchanting performances transport audiences to other realms, offering a sense of peace, as Roy Sunak blends unbounded creativity and tradition.
Working with such an exceptional artist was a very motivational project that required a strong PR campaign. Through our initiatives, PR contacts, press releases, and passion for the client we got excellent PR coverage for him. A few highlights include: Om Magazine, Whisperinandhollerin, Volatile Weekly & YOGA Magazine.

Over the many years of our involvement with a huge variety of music, we have had great success with our Classical Music PR campaigns, covering print and social media, radio, TV, local, national, and international press. We were proud to have the pleasure of working with critically acclaimed British pianist Brenda Ogdon and her album of Ravel’s works, with all the royalties were being donated to the homeless charity Shelter. Through innovative press releases, initiative and creative approaches to stories for the press and media, the campaign for Brenda Odgon has been very successful.
Amazon sold out of copies of Brenda Ogdon’s new album ‘Ravel que J’Aime’ (released 1 October 2021) very quickly, with new orders placed immediately. A few highlights included, The Cross-Eyed Pianist | The Cambridge Independent | Cambridge Live & Pianist Magazine.

Classical pianist Antimo Magnotta came to use with not only an incredible album but with an equally extraordinary story.
Taking time to speak to Antimo both in person and through regular phone and email chats, we were able to fully understand the journey he took to releasing his new album. The story behind Antimo’s album began when he was resident pianist on the cruise ship, The Costa Concordia. Antimo was playing on the fateful night in January 2012 when the ship hit rocks and sank off the coast of Italy, seeing the loss of 32 lives. Grabbing onto debris, Antimo survived in the freezing waters but the trauma of the event has stayed with him and was the primary influence of the album and was a cathartic process for him to create. Antimo’s remarkable story allowed us to contact our friends across the media in areas such as BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine Show, Evening Standard (where he also played piano live) and BBC Breakfast on BBC 1.

Yet there is always one thing that puts a classical artist in front of many other artists who create other musical styles, PASSION!
The desire to be heard, be seen and also, the desire to think very creatively.
Hence we look back to the wonderful days of helping Russell Watson when his career started.
Or the wonderful flow of ideas with Cortes resulting in extensive coverage at the Classical Brits. Clever ideas help artists to grow, and we aim to develop relevant ideas to get the artist noticed.
Quite Great PR are a fantastic marketing and PR agency to work with. Pete and the team are very thorough and certainly cover all points with public relations & marketing. They certainly go the extra mile to get as much press for the story as possible. All in all a wonderful experience.
Quite Great have been phenomenal in leading PR for the premiere of A Silver Spoon, the story of Diana and Dodi opera in Wales. We recommend them truly brilliant and will reach out to them again ourselves.
I have recently been fortunate to have the "Quite Great" Publicity Agency working for me to publicise my Albim of 2 CD's "Ravel Que j'Aime" on Sterling Records. I cannot recommend these lovely people enough. The girls in PR and Hugo in marketing worked tirelessly for five weeks and succeeded in obtaining three major interviews for me, plus a magazine article, and a Radio interview. My latest appearance on Global Talent Worldwide showed as having 9,988 views today in only 2 weeks. I will certainly return to them when I have another project.
I had the great pleasure of collaborating with Quite Great. The guys have always been very helpful, supportive and with a contagious enthusiasm. They really made me feel great and boosted me with pure energy. I would highly recommend them if you want to stand out, be visible and heard.
