After the success of Raga Jhinjhoti on Fretless Guitar in 2023, Indian-American guitarist Anupam Shobhakar returns with a new musical vision. His album, Liquid Reality, brings together Indian classical music, jazz, and global sounds in a way that feels fresh and exciting.
Anupam is trained in the Senia Maihar Gharana tradition and studied under the great Aashish Khan. From playing rock guitar in Bombay to performing on global stages, his journey has shaped a truly unique sound. Now based in New York, he uses a custom double-neck guitar—one fretted, one fretless—to blend Eastern melodies with Western harmonies.
