New York multimedia artist Deja Dead has announced a one-night immersive event in Glasgow, unveiling his new audiovisual album DISCONNECTED.
The event, titled “An Evening in the Dead Zone,” will take place at Glasgow Film Theatre on Monday, 23rd March 2026. It marks a key moment for the artist and the wider alternative scene.
Introducing Deja Dead and DISCONNECTED
Deja Dead is the multimedia project of Max Miller. He combines alternative rock, cinematic visuals, and digital storytelling. As a result, his work feels both personal and expansive.
His upcoming album DISCONNECTED was created with the late Glasgow producer Rico. Rico worked with Gary Numan, Tricky, and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. Importantly, this album became the final project he completed before his passing in 2022.
What to Expect From “An Evening in the Dead Zone”
On the night, Max Miller will present DISCONNECTED for the first time. He will also share behind-the-scenes footage from the Glasgow recording sessions. In addition, he will tell stories from his long creative journey.
That journey spans 15 years. During that time, Miller travelled from New York City to Glasgow. Eventually, the musician he admired became both a collaborator and a close friend.
The evening will end with the premiere of a neon-lit short film. The film connects the album’s themes. Miller conceptualised the project, while Ben Sottak directed it. Notably, Sottak’s debut feature The Hallowarrior stars Milly Shapiro and Shannyn Sossamon.
Expanding the DISCONNECTED Universe
Beyond the album, Deja Dead is building a wider creative world. For example, CLOUD GAME by Deja Dead is an upcoming iOS release. The game expands the story into an interactive experience. More details will follow later in the campaign.
